Second Sunday Spoken Word
Second Sunday Spoken Word is the first and only regularly scheduled monthly event devoted to the Spoken Word. We welcome all writers, including lyricists, to share their work on the second Sunday of every month. We believe in speaking out and are dedicated to giving people a voice. We are open to all readers, genres, and formats.
On September 11th, Spoken Word will feature a short animated film by 21 year old film writer and illustrator Razan Ikhmaies about her childhood in a Palestinian refugee camp. Other readers will include John Foxell, Wayne Lubowski, Judi Cohen, Rachel Sanchez, Harvey Zevin, Joelle Morrison, Lawrence Schwabacher, and Loren Ellis. Readings will be followed by the music of Joan and Gary Moore and refreshments will be served.
The event is free, all ages are welcome, and complimentary refreshments, are served.
