As part of the Artists Contract all exhibitors must do the required volunteer hours. Hours required will vary and are based on the number of participants in a show. If you are unable to fulfill your scheduled hours, you may appoint a qualified adult to sit in your place OR you may pay a fee of $10 per hour to the SICC to hire a replacement sitter. 48 hours notice is required in either case.
Hanging and Take-down of Work
Artists are responsible for dropping-off and hanging art work prior to the start date a show and for picking up at the end of a show in a timely manner. Most shows require a hanging fee that is in addition to the annual membership fee. These fees are used to offset the cost of refreshments and beverages for show opening events, promotional materials and maintenance and repair of exhibition space after work has been taken down. Depending on the venue, it may also be used to offset the cost of rent and/or utilities.
Payment of 20% commission on all sales of work at SICC sponsored events.
Minimum of 3 Hours of Volunteer Service for Art by the Ferry Annual Event: All members are required to volunteer at this event even if they choose not to display their work.
