Second Sunday Spoken Word
Second Sunday Spoken Word is the first and only regularly scheduled monthly event devoted to the Spoken Word. We welcome all writers, including lyricists, to share their work on the second Sunday of every month. We believe in speaking out and are dedicated to giving people a voice. We are open to all readers, genres, and formats.
3-5 pm Spoken Word – original poetry, fiction, and non-fiction
5-6 pm Singers, songwriters, and other acoustic musicians
Performers may sign up in advance by contacting Robin Lampman at: LampmanRobin @ gmail.com. If there are open slots, you may add your name to the sign up sheet on the day of the event.
SICC/ BWAC Spoken Word Collaboration

On June 17th from 2-5 p.m. readers from the Staten Island Creative Community will get together with readers from the Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition at BWAC to present original writing in “Portraits in Poetry and Prose.” Poets and writers will include Druanne Dillon, , Brandon Korosh, Fritz Weiss, Thomas Fucaloro, Robin Lampman, Grayson Manzi, Maha Awad, Terry Marks, and Annie Rech. Ekhlas Fayig will present her essay on Malala Day which she read at the Mayor’s Office.
