Second Sunday Spoken Word is the first and only regularly scheduled monthly event devoted to the Spoken Word. We welcome all writers, including lyricists, to share their work on the second Sunday of every month. We believe in speaking out and are dedicated to giving people a voice. We are open to all readers, genres, and formats.

Suggested Donation $2

Schedule

3-5 pm Spoken Word – original poetry, fiction, and non-fiction

5-6 pm Singers, songwriters, and other acoustic musicians

Performers may sign up in advance by contacting Robin Lampman at: LampmanRobin @ gmail.com.  If there are open slots, you may add your name to the sign up sheet on the day of the event.

                                                 “Wishful Thinking”

                                            at Second Sunday Spoken Word

                                                        Art on the Terrace 776 Richmond Terrace

On Sunday, January 14th at 3 p.m. Second Sunday Spoken Word will gather at Art on the Terrace to do “Wishful Thinking” for the New Year. A performance by Viv de Dada called “A Birthday Surprise” will begin the celebration. Original writing by Brandon Korosh, Marilyn Kiss, Kevyn Fairchild, Phyllis Featherstone, and Fritz Weiss will follow.

The original music and lyrics of Vincent Vok will conclude the afternoon.

All are welcome  and light refreshments will be served after the readings. There is a suggested $2 donation.
