Second Sunday Spoken Word is the first and only regularly scheduled monthly event devoted to the Spoken Word. We welcome all writers, including lyricists, to share their work on the second Sunday of every month. We believe in speaking out and are dedicated to giving people a voice. We are open to all readers, genres, and formats.

3-5 pm Spoken Word – original poetry, fiction, and non-fiction

5-6 pm Singers, songwriters, and other acoustic musicians

Second Sunday Spoken Word Presents:

                                                                     “Love in a Cold Climate”

On February 10th from 3 – 6 p.m. writers, poets and songwriters will present original work and talk about the difficulties of “Love in a Cold Climate.” The title of this month’s reading is borrowed from a novel by Nancy Mitford who borrowed it from a novel by George Orwell. Readers will include Julie Bentsen, Thomas Fucaloro, Fern Metcalf, Tyler Larsen, and Lisa Sloan. Rachel Isaacs and “All Hands on Deck” will keep the love alive immediately following the readings with music and song.

Light refreshments will be served.
