We welcome all writers, including lyricists, to share their work on the second Sunday of every month. We believe in speaking out and are dedicated to giving people a voice. Spoken Word Chairperson Robin Lampman is moving back to New Mexico at the end of September. We thank Robin for the amazing job she has done over the past four years to organize and present monthly Spoken Word programs. In addition to gathering hundreds of writers, poets and musicians her hard work, perseverance and winning smile have allowed her to establish partnerships and collaborations with many local organizations including the Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Group, The Staten Island Pride Center, MakerSpace NYC, Labyrinth Arts Collective, and the New York Public Library. Robin has written and received four Poets & Writers grants that were awarded to local wordsmiths.
We wish Robin good luck and much happiness in this new chapter of her life. She will be missed!
